Horizon Life List

The places we still want to see — taken seriously.

Horizon Outdoor began with something very small: going outside with our daughters for a picnic. As they grew, so did the way our family spent time outdoors — camping, hiking, and eventually the kind of road trips that became our favourite way to travel together.

We drove across Canada from the west coast toward the east, learning that the best journeys were rarely only about arriving. Over the years, our map kept getting bigger. We started crossing countries and continents, and somewhere along the way we began keeping a Life List of the places, routes and experiences we still wanted to make real.

We have completed less than ten percent of it. That number does not discourage us. It has done the opposite: it made us take the list more seriously. So we began building a series of Horizon Life List Guides — practical, growing travel resources for the journeys we still hope to take, and for anyone building a list of their own.

Five ways to go farther

Start with the kind of journey calling you now.

Each guide grows independently, but they share one idea: a Life List becomes meaningful when it moves from “one day” to a real plan.

Road Trip Guide

Road trips have always been part of our family story. This guide turns scenic highways, remote roads and cross-country drives into trips you can actually plan.

World Wonders Guide

A decision-first guide to globally significant cultural and natural places, built to help you understand not only where to go, but how to experience each place well.

Put one true wonder on your calendar — not someday, but as the next place worth making real.

The list is meant to move

Less than 10% complete. Plenty of road ahead.

We are not trying to finish a list as quickly as possible. We want each place to become a real memory — the kind that earns its place in a family story. If your own Life List is still mostly unwritten, this is a good place to begin.
